Fullback Phil Adler led the 1992 Tigers to the program’s first-ever state title as he ran for 186 yards on 24 carries (a 7.8-yard-per-carry average) and three touchdowns in the 40-34 double overtime victory over Joliet Catholic Academy. Adler rushed for 2,043 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns in the 1992 season and for 3,055 yards rushing and 40 touchdowns for his career.
