One of the moments that truly defines Tiger football came after the Tigers won the 1992 Class 5A title when they welcome DuPage Valley Conference (DVC) foe Naperville North (a team they had defeated 30-6 during the regular season) onto the field for the Huskies’ Class 6A title tilt against Loyola Academy. The unscripted salute stands today as one of the ultimate examples of sportsmanship and camaraderie in Illinois high school football.

Tiger linebacker and team captain Christian “The World” Olsen returns an interception against Niles Notre Dame during the 1992 playoffs. The 52-0 domination of the Dons avenged the ghost of the Tigers’ devastating 6-3 “Snow Bowl” defeat during the 1989 playoffs that denied the program its first-ever title game appearance.
